San Gabriel Mountains Chapter
Our goal: To increase understanding of California's native flora and to preserve this rich resource for future generations
The Chapter serves members with a variety of interests in California's native flora —
- Central to the chapter are the monthly meetings with speakers on topics of interest.
- Outdoor activities include instructive local plant walks and ield trips.
- Our annual plant sale offers a selection of over 100 plant species.
- Members share information and experiences in native plant gardening.
- We take an interest in environmental issues in the immediate and neighboring area.
- We publish an informative newsletter four times each year.
- California-wide activities are run from the CNPS state office in Sacramento.

At the top of this page and other pages of this web site is our chapter logo, the Mt. Gleason Paintbrush. This species is found only within the San Gabriel Mountains.
